I don't know (with the exception of setting up some node packages) that I've heard the fan on this system at all. According to Google, however, the presentation is only a first preview version of. I'm compiling my projects in the same-or-less time on my M1 13 MBP than I was on my previous 2018, 15" MBP. I'm not sure if the other poster is just avoiding all rosetta stuff, but I've had zero issues with adb and physical or emulated devices.Īs far as "smoother", I'm not sure what you're going for with that statement. ![]() In areas where it has messed up I went ahead and switched back to the Rosetta x86 builds of Studio, and haven't really had any issues. There's also a user on GitHub that is compiling Android Studio for ARM and I've had a lot of really good luck with that. The emulator has native, official support for ARM now so that's awesome. There are some things you have to kind of go out of the way to do for now, but overall it's pretty solid. On top of the Intellij build, design tools work, and the Android Emulator works with API 30 and API S Developer Preview emulator system images.
